Congratulations to our CJHS students from Mr. Jerrell’s class who won awards for the VFW essay contest! We are thrilled that several of our students were selected for their excellent writing!
Students that were selected were Asa Roeters, Ava Parrish-Bollman, Declan Kirshbaum, Greenlee Zelasko, Hailey McDonald, Sophie Hornik, Arianna Belk, and Alayna Zimmene.

CJHS is wearing purple on Wednesday, November 6th for National Homelessness Awareness Month.
The CHS Girls Cross Country is our final fall team competing. Good luck in Peoria next weekend at the IHSA State Finals!

Carterville Rotary International is hosting their annual Halloween Dance for CJHS students. next week. The students were given permission forms Monday, but there are also more printed in the office.

Special shoutout to our school's first tennis state qualifier, Katya Chyzhyk! Katya entered the state series as an individual and placed third in the sectional, qualifying her for the state finals next weekend!

CJHS had their PBIS reward assembly today. It kicked off with a friendly game of knockout between a few teachers. We also had our drawing for prizes for those students who hit the goal. We hope everyone has a wonderful Fall Break, and we can't wait to see you when we return!
