CIS has been invited to a matinee of the Carterville High School musical. Due to the nature of the particular show, they are providing an abbreviated musical-revue-style performance. This will include the younger audience-friendly tunes and then some speaking time with the cast, crew, and pit. CIS will be attending on Thursday, March 26, from 9 - 10 am at the high school. We are asking students to bring $1 as a donation to the CHS Fine Arts Department.

We had our 4th quarter PBIS kickoff this morning! Our goal for the remainder of the year is "Lock in, so we all win!" We are challenging our students to finish the year strong by maintaining a focused and positive classroom environment. To show just how much focus matters, we held a live demonstration: our student volunteers tried to follow simple commands while their teachers did their best to distract them. It was a great (and funny!) way to see how disruptions can get in the way of our learning.
If we have fewer than 10 students receive an office referral for disruptions between now and May, the entire school will celebrate with a visit from the Ice Cream truck!

This month, we have been focusing on being responsible for our learning. This morning, we announced that we met our goal of staying under 10 referrals related to this focus area. To celebrate, we will enjoy a candy cart next Friday!
In February, we will switch gears and focus on being kind and respectful to others. If we can stay under 10 referrals in this category, we will celebrate with a popcorn party at the end of the month.

Today will be eLearning Day #3 as we dig out from this snow event. Please complete today's assignments and reach out to your child's teacher via Rooms or email between 9:00 - 2:00 with any questions.
When we return to school, parent drop off in the morning needs to be on School Street or through our main parking lot by the office. All students will enter through the main student entrance like always. The church parking lot has piles of snow blocking students from crossing the street. Thanks for your support. - Dr. Webb

Parents - Thanks for your support during this severe weather event and Day #2 of eLearning. Our plan remains the same as yesterday. Teachers will communicate assignment details and be available via Rooms and email from 9:00 am - 2:00 pm.
